Expertise: Dachshund care, editorial planning, breed-aware guidance, owner education

Bobbie Terry has lived with Dachshunds for more than 40 years, starting as a child in Southern Oklahoma, helping her mother raise litters. She went on to breed smooth and long-haired miniature Dachshunds, once bottle-raised a litter of seven whose mother could no longer nurse, and trained one of her Dachshunds as a service animal. She shares her home with three miniature long-haired Dachshunds and a Great Dane. Bobbie is not a veterinarian: for anything medical, the site points you to your vet and to the sources listed in each article.
